:q:What does your member name and sigatures mean?
So, what is the reason behind those member names and signatures of yours? Quite curiuos, isn't it? We all choose our names for a reason and have our signatures probably for our own websites. But, we can get to know a little more about one another by finding the meaning of our usernames, etc.
Before I begin, I will hand the floor over to....

hmm, well my member name (Busy) I suppose is my trade mark. I started using it many moons ago in mschat (comic chat), my orginal choice was "freelance" as thats what i was doing at the time but the sysops kept kicking me off because my name had "free" in it, so I played with them and gave em messages like "go away i'm busy" then shortened it down to busy while I could come up with another name - never did, busy kind of suited me and it stuck.
My signture, well advertising for my html site I guess, a quote (was going to change it weekly but got to busy) ,at home I get blamed for breaking things so the little if broken, wasn't me kinda thing was a funny addition.
<?bhb if(broken){ echo("It wasn't me
"); } ?>

My name:
DisasterMaster actually has two meanings.
I work as a Paramedic so I am a master at handling disasters.
And as for my web design...I am a disaster when it comes to being a webmaster sometimes which is why I hang out here at TWF for help.
My sig:
I try to rotate it from time to time with inspirational messages and quotes that I find on the net. They reflect how I feel about things.

When I was signing up I had to think of a member name. I heard a song by Michael Jackson on the radio that moment. As I didn't want to sign up as 'Michael Jackson', I decided to sign up as 'Jack Michaelson'.

My member name is just my name, because I can never think of anything better to call myself. On some other forums and ICQ I use "Megs" which is what my friends used to call me in college.
The first thing in my sig is the "Proud to be Canadian" bit, which has been in my sig since I first got online. I often find that some people need to be reminded that the 'net is international (not here but moreso at other forums I visit, and especially back in the early days).
Going from memory here, the next thing is the eDevCafe forums link, which is fairly new. Then I usually have a funny little quote or tidbit taken from current events, or stuff I find on the 'net, or whatever. right now it says "I forget what I was going to put here", but now I remember so I'll have to go change that.

My username started out as NecroticWall-o-flesh at infoceptor.com's forums. But it was too long for a lot of sites so I had to shorten it, and its what everybody called me anyways
. How did I get it? I was registering at infoceptor.com and I needed a screen name, this was about 1.5 years ago, so I wasn't good at it. I was also registering at GameSpy at the time for a download and I went to the "Help pick a nick" page and the first one I saw was NecroticWall-o-flesh. I liked it, I used it. Now it's shorter.
My sig:
Line 1: My Website/Slogan. I'm getting ready to hand it over to one of my friends though so I have more time for Webmaster-database.
Line 2: My friends website, I help him with it alot so I thought I'd advertise it.

Well, thanks for all of the comments. Very interesting, interesting indeed
Well, for me my membername is "KnightRobby." Well, I chose "Knight" because, first of all, it represents my service for my King (you know Who), and I am incredibly interested in history and the honor that comes with it. With men these days, they aren't too honorable considering the abadonment of children, divorce rate - etc. I would like to change that as a Knight of God...
For the "Robby" part, well that is my name
My signature is my Network of Websites and forums. You can check it out. I will definitely be checking out the websites in all of your signatures

Thanks!

Abhishek Reddy is my real name.
"Would it not be easier to blaze a trail if you're pants were on fire?" is what I call a sillosophical question - silly but philosophical.
It argues that "blazing a trail" (leading/getting ahead) can be easier if one lies ("Liar, liar! Pants on fire!").
It's a joke. Do not take it seriously.
I rotate the witty lines every now and then. It used to say "Anhydrous Aliphatic Covalent [and some more technical-ish words from the chemistry dictionary] Isomerism means nothing to me."
Best use I had for the glossary at the back of my school chem text book all year.
Vision Dev is an forum I found recently where debates take place... check it out to get a better idea.
Let's add another question to this: What is in your avatar and what does it mean?
Mine is a picture of cash falling everywhere, symbolising my (negative) cashflow situation...

My avtar:
There have been several but I chose the little sleeping bear for several reasons.
#1. It has a pink bow which says, "Hey, I am a girl!"
#2. Symbolizes my nature by saying, "I am calm, cute and cuddly until...." Well, you know what bears do when they get angry. LOL
#3. This was one of the first graphics that I added to my very first cheesy web site back in 1999. I got it at Woobie World. It used to be a he but I changed to bow to pink when I put it here at TWF.
Yes, I know it is corny but what the heck. For memories sake. I am sure that everyone here has a corny web tale (good subject for another post) and this woobie is mine.

Rather than jump on the bandwagon and tease Megan about her typo, I'm on my way to the local dingbat fort to see if they need any recruits! Wait a sec...
My avatar means nothing at all...simply a picture from my website. I'll probably change it when I finish my new redesign.

Well I guess its my turn now:
I used to run a C&C (a pc game) site and at the time I was just using my name as my nick which is Owen. I decided that that was boring so I changed it into "nukesilo", derived from the game C&C. The reason I changed it to Nuke was because my website closed down so I thought it would be nice if I changed it.
