Anyone using kaaza these days?
If so I'd advise you read up on whats going on with them, here is one article http://news.com.com/2100-1023-271020.html?legacy=cnet (more at the bottom)
In short, kaaza's old versions wont work since it shut Morpheus down by illegal methods and upgrading infects your PC with at least 5 versions of spyware/adware which is very hard to remove, even uninstalling kaaza wont remove it.
if you have the new version adaware (great program for removing adware, scumware and other nasties) can help remove some of the nasties but they are deep rooted.
If your after a dowload program try morpheus, its in trail version (in beta since rebuilding on new platform) or another type, watch out for this spyware, its worse than anything Microsoft has every done, including the new media player v8 (Win XP version)

"); } ?>

Some pretty nasty stuff going on with the P2P sharing these days. As a long-time Morpheus user, I was quite disappointed first at their temporary downtime, then how they moved to Gnutella. I've found it to be extremely unreliable and slower than on the old system. I have never used KaZaA as I heard too many horror stories about it containing spyware and scumware.

This weekend users of KaZaA Lite K++ learned that almost every download site of the popular peer-to-peer file-sharing application had disappeared, including the links on its own home page.
KaZaA Lite K++ is now almost unusable.

er, no? I run macs and don't use file-sharing in general, so I wasn't even in the game.
My only point was that there certainly are known viruses for WinMX. And I was trying to be funny, see, about the win/lose, windows viruses, it's a play on words.
Edit: Ah, yes, Abhi, those are excellent! I'm relieved.
