Web Database Development

We are running Windows Server 2008. I'm using an Access database for my ASP pages. I used the 32-bit ODBC to set up the database. The ASP pages that are pulling info from the database is not working. I get an error. Any ideas on what could be wrong? TIA

I have a database (MySQL) with a table containing millions of rows.
I read/write to this table upto 100 times per minute at peek-time.

I was contacted by my hosting company, and told that I didn't have enough power on my shared-host, and needed a VPS.

I am building a simple system that registers users. I am only using one table to store everything. Each row consists of a userid, email address, phone number, gender, hair length

Gender can be male or female and hair length can be long, medium or short.

What I am trying to do is show how many males and females have long medium or short hair in a table like the below

but I cant figure out the SQLso that I can do this in one query. So far I am here:

SELECT COUNT(1) as 'Gender',

can anyone help me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

im trying to get the values from the select box in HTML form , and if the value is "Male" the user info will be inserted into the "male" table. and if the value is "female" then the info will be inserted into the "female" table........

i dont know where i made the mistake................

I am trying to install a program on Xampp (in Centos 6) and I get the error that I listed below. I am not sure whats wrong, because I just went to PHPMyAdmin, created a table called 001 and it was all that I needed to do. I looked at the info, but it is kind of hard to figure it out at this point. Does anybody have an idea what it is?

I have an interesting problem if anyone fancies a shot at it.
This database was built in the 1980's and has; I'm guessing about 10'000 entries. I need to make a simple app for a wind prospector to search the database and retrieve the locations of high wind-speeds.

It is built on the back of the Ordnance Survey 6 digit locations (SS7456 for example) a full OS ref has 8 digits of course.
