localtime command -

I am new to cgi perl and trying to modify the localtime command in a script because I live in Australia but my server is in San Diego USA. How do I adjust the output to cope with the different time zone?

why don't you just split the time you got from the localtime() variable change the hours by $hour++ or something like this???
