Hi everyone,

I am a fairly new webmaster, well at least new to doing anything other than HTML. I am needing to install several different php scripts on my sites. Contact forms, image submission, guestbook, etc... I am having no problems at all finding these scripts for free or very cheap. However I have no idea how to install them onto my website and make them work.

If someone can point me to a tutorial that will help someone who doesnt even know what PHP stands for (in other words, I am completely illiterate in PHP), or even if someone would like to make a few extra dollars and install these scripts for me, please let me know.

Thanks a Bunch,

Gene

For many PHP scripts you just need to upload them to the server. Easy as that!

If they have a database behind them it is a little trickier. Ask if you host has PHPmyadmin installed - as this makes this part easier as well.

Usually, yes. Are there no installation instructions? There is usually a file called readme.txt or install.txt or similar.

If the script requires a database then it will usually tell you.
