How to restrict my Image folder from hackers???

Hello there,

I wanna set the rights for not to display my image folder contents when someone write the path on the browser like:
http://www.sitename.com/images

please give the hints on setting the rights on this folder !!!

just a quick easy fix but drop an index.html in there that says "leave me alone"
also there is a way to set directory listing to false but it depends on what webhosting software is being used and if you have access to make that change

You can also use .htaccess if your server is running Apache. I haven't looked through it in detail, but there's a guide here:
