Ghostscript and Imagemagick.

Basically I have some software (gallery2) that I want to upload .pdf files into and have them automatically create a thumbnail. Now, what they say is you need both imagemagick and ghostscript installed to do this and have them talk to each other.

So, imagemagick was installed. Ghostscript was not. I had my web host install ghostscript for me but they will provide no assistance after that. So here is what I got installed:
Ghostscript: 8.54
Imagemagick 6.0.7

I tryed to upload a PDF file. It uploads but has NO thumbnail created. So I have to link them togeather so Imagemagick and talk with Ghostscript to create the thumbnail.. My question is.. How? (I run a VPS)
