I used easily.co.uk a few weeks ago for a few new domains and was very happy with them and their service. They let you register them for £9.99, that is all you pay for two years. All the necessary info is on their site.

Easyspace let you register .co.uk's for £3.99 or so, but they charge you to change various things and I think you have to pay extra for web forwarding....

I just got a .com for £20 for 2 years.

They also do .co.uk's for two years.

No transfer costs or anythink.

If you ask me easyspace or dodgy. no telephone contact and email I sent asking q's were not answered.

They are cheap though...

www.freenetname.co.uk has them for free if you live in Europe I think.

Although I have a domain registered with FNName, I wouldn't recommend anyone else to go near them! You don't get a cgi-bin, ssi isn't enabled, it costs £94 to transfer the domain, you can't set up e-mail or web forwarding and the list goes on.....
