I found your site on page 2 of a web search, using the title. I don't know how well it would do in a keyword search. One problem is; there is another site "Adaptive Access". It is very similar to yours in purpose. I had a site once that had a close name alike site, it never even got listed.
If you are talking about a Google PR, that will not happen until their next update. It hasn't been very long since the last one, and with the problems Google is having, I'm not sure when the next one will be.

I tried to get my client to change the name before we started. He was adamant. He sells the same stuff and we're using most of the same keywords.

Well, hope you've made it clear to your client that having that other site there is going to cause problems, especially since you only have the .biz domain. I believe the best SEO results come from .com domains. See the following thread: http://www.webmaster-forums.net/showthread.php?t=34568
I also think it very worrysome that you're not conforming to WCAG (your use of tables, not using
for lists, no skip navigation link etc), a site that is selling a product based for accessibility should definitely be accessible itself!

Your site will only get indexed in Google if you have a few one way links pointing to it.
Same with all the major search engines - don't bother submitting it, its a waste of time, that includes all these companies that will submit it to 5 squillion search engines for you for x amount.

Agreed on that, although I believe they seem to be a dying breed anyway.

Its always annoying when clients reject your suggestions that you are only making for their own benefit isnt it. Unfortunatly its the way of the world and you may have your work cut out for you to get this ranked higher.

I know of a couple things that might improve your ranking: building a sitemap not only lets the user find stuff on your site, it also counts toward backlinks (pagerank!) and also get those sites in your "links" page to link back to you. If you can get on their directory pages then at least you won't be giving them free backlinks...

the googlebot comes to your site and then makes a ote when to index it going by the PR. so although it showed up 12 times it may still be weeks before it is fully indexed.
