Based on your previous experience, have you has better results with natural search engine results or from using PPC programs like adwords, YSM etc.?
I have personally had better results with SEO and have managed to get a steady stream of 6,000 unique visits per day. I have alot of experience with over 10 different PPC programs and I may someday go back to them when I have found a really high converting website.

SEO and SEM are good if they are working together. I think that it is very difficult to cover all keywords you are interesting in by SEO - and in this case SEM helps greatly.

It may sound a bit ridiculous but the fact is that in many instances, organic search engine marketing produces a far better return on investment than pay-per-click campaigns. This study conducted and published by iProspect looks at the return on investment and tracking information provided by companies that outsource both their pay-per-click management and their organic search engine marketing.Findings from the study include:

a)35% of organizations that outsource their natural search engine optimization and also participate in pay per click advertising -- and can measure the ROI of each -- recognize a higher return from SEO
b)42% of search marketers who outsource BOTH the management of their SEO and the PPC campaigns, find that search engine optimization produces a higher ROI.

Unfortunately, the study also showed that 45% of marketers who participate in both natural search engine optimization and pay per click advertising cannot determine whether SEO or PPC provides a higher ROI.After all, everybody invests money where there is impact, but if the place is not determined then confusions start creeping in.

Ranking organically in Search Engines is the best way to attract visitors and customer to your site. I only do PPC when the website I did is a fresh one or a young site that needed to be promoted right away. In that instance I can already create traffic on my site and able to tell the search engines that I have visitors on my site and so they can rank or crawl my site. But still SEO website is still best in terms of generating sales based on our experience.

I agree that natural search engine is better than PPC advertisement. At least, you can save a lot of money each month.

For ROI, no more PPC ad network companies can guarantee the large numbers of customers to your business. But you will get the good opportunities that visitors who searched for what they need will buy your products from top 5 pages on major search engines.

In addition, many people don't like to click on advertisement because they afraid that harmful malwares will damage their PCs. In my personal opinion, people who know well about online marketing like PPC advertisement will not click PPC if they don't really want to visit the ads.

I was sure that 95% of web masters think that SOE is the highest ROI ever. And those digits embarrass me little bit. 45% is not many. Is it really everything so bad?

PPC (if you know how it works and have experience with it) if you want faster results as SEO takes time to see some favorable effects.
