I was visiting a web site: thegpsstore.com and i noticed their home page had a PR of 6 and every page in their site had a PR of around 5 even their sitemap page.
What's the secret to that?
I noticed they have been in business about 5 years.
Needless to say if you type in GPS in google they pull up on the first page.
Are these guys that good or what?
Thanks for any info.

They get the internal pagerank the same way they get the index pagerank. Links Wink The links would just point to the internal parts of the site instead of the homepage. Also, most sites that have a high index pagerank pass that rank on to the inner pages.

I have seen website with having high pr in internal pages and homepage has low pr.It is all about how many backlinks are to the page in question.

If their business already run for 5 years, it is not suprise that all their webpages have high ranking. Smiling

It is ideal to have a hierarchical structure, and that generally spreads out PR nicely.

My pr is definately not something to brag about, but all my internal pages do have pr. My homepage is pr3 and internal pages pr2. Maybe as my homepage pr increases, the internal pages will follow like the above example. All my external links go to my homepage currently.

I agree, those internal pages would have to also have links to them from other websites. also, they may also be linking to pages not on te main index like blog or forum main pages?
