I was wondering what do you guys do when you add new pages to your site. Do you just wait for the next crawl to find the pages or do you submit them individually. I add new articles to my cat site every week (at least I try too Smiling) and I want people to find them.

By the way, I usually choose the subjects according to what people search for. So usually if the articles are indexed, that should bring in more traffic.

Depends on what the page is about. If it's a major new topic page I resubmit both my index and the new page to the engines. If it's just a supporting page I let it sit for awhile.

Haven't had much luck getting too many pages other than the home page indexed permenately.

In my opinion it's not recommended to submit pages that you have already done within a month lapse period, just let the search engines do automatic routine indexing of your previous pages and it would update any changes to their database records.

If it's a totally new page, then by all means submit it as it won't affect the other pages you already submitted.

It's recommended to check with the popular search engines regularly using your keywords from your meta tags and note whether its listed or if it has slide down very badly from the top 10 position then, it's time to re-submit with the neccessary changes to get a higher listing. But usually it's done after one month's period prior to submitting the pages earlier.

I use regular meta tags on just my main page and once my site got in all of the major search engines like AltaVista, Google, etc., it regularly indexes the entire site, so all my new articles are eventually in the search database. So, in my case, I never re-submit, especially seperate pages, but it might be different for others under different circumstances.
