If you don't want to wait a few days (or weeks) for the google bots to come to your site and index it... here is a simple way to do it instantly.

Go to http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl and add your url
Then
Go to the google website homepage (google.com).

Type in your full url like http://www.finqoo.com and click the search button.

When you get to the result screen saying it can't find your website, it will also state something like :Try to click on the link directly (and will provide the link to your site there).

Click on that link. Thats all friends!!!

Your site is indexed by google! (Usually happen within 2hours for me.)

Go back to the google search and search for the same url you searched before and you will see it has been indexed!

It really works! Cool

Well, I'm trying that right now! My main site is indexed, but I'm trying it with the new pages I'm building. Great Tip!

Well 12 hours has passed, and I haven't seen any results. At least it didn't cost me anything. Laughing out loud ...and I needed to go submit those pages anyway.

Actually my site is already indexed, and I was using this method to try to get google to pick up extra pages...so maybe that's different. They'll get picked up on the next Google Dance anyway, I guess....whenever that is. Ah...the waiting.....

Ha Ha. At least, I didn't pay 129.95 for an EBOOK that would tell me how to get traffic within 12 hours.....I didn't pay 39.95 for an INSTANT LISTING in a directory that nobody visits....I didn't pay 100 for 1000 Chinese hits.....Lot's of stuff I didn't do.

I used to have a couple of backdoors to YAHOO (ah...the good old days of 2002) but they don't seem to do the trick either.

So this most likely doesn't work. It may have worked at one point, but not anymore.

it may be buggy now, since google seems to be jumping around these couple of weeks, I cannot however say if this is really effective or not...

It's hard to see how it could work, since the link to a site, seems just to be that .. a hard coded domain link..i.e. http://www.WhatEver.Com , etc.

It would have to be a coded link that would tell Googld something I would think.

But maybe it used to be different....ah it all used to be.

I have proof it doesn't work. I made a crap site real quick and tried that technique. After a week of time nothing has happened. It is still not indexed by Google. Check it out http://www.google.com/search?hs=f5n&hl=en&lr=&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&q=www.tippmann-98-custom.com&btnG=Search

there's bound to be little flaws in google that occur very rarly, I think that was one one them.

You'd be kicking yourself if it did work but as soon as you posted it one of the google workers saw it and fixed it Laughing out loud

I have tried this numerous times with my website from creating it 45 days ago. (I've probably tried 30 times or so) and my page is still not "directly" indexed via Google. Maybe there's something wrong with my site? Any ideas?

I think this is a mistake - if you type in any made up url at all it will give you a direct link to click

Yes, but if a site is there, it will have a short description of the site.

Also - the sitemap thing will get your site index quickly. It didn't seem to bring a burst of instant traffic though. Laughing out loud

Yeah, i doubt the google sitemaps help your ranking at all though google is bound to crawl your site if you have one.

there have been some interesting changes in google sitemaps recently like they are showing statistics of how your website is performing in the listings... i'm a little suspicious that super-secretive google is feeding us lowly webmasters information like that...

The easiest way to get your site listed in Google is to get a backlink to it. on a page that is regularly spidered. Google lives and breathes links. By all means submit your url to google, but for Googlebot to start spidering your site in depth your going to need backlinks.

I think Google Sitemaps is a great way to get your site de-indexed if you screw up.
