Some of my blogs get indexed in google within about ten minutes. Others take a day or two. Why is this? How fast is your indexed?

It all depends on the search engine and the rate at which they index your site. Each one is different. It seems that google will index a new entry to my blog very quickly but MSN, Yahoo, and others take their good sweet time.

I suggest you "ping" after every update to facilitate the process. It kind of like sending signals to SE's that you have new content, so they can send their spiders

i agree with mr.cat. make sure you "ping" your site after making some changes. It creates a connection to other ping services and let them inform that your site has been updated.

To be index faster after you posted try to ping your blog and try to submit it to digg. It also depends on your method, google can index a blog in few minutes

So I take it digg doesn't rel="nofollow" stuff in upcoming, so even if your submission doesn't get on the front page it still gets indexed by Google?
Am surprised they haven't realised this yet, think the upcoming in digg is just full of spam.
