My Site Abbeyaccess.com gets representation on MSN and Yahoo but no where to be found on Google. key words home elevator, residential elevator, dumbwaiter, stair lifts... It is developed with a custom php content management system. I also have html based subdomains for the site product pages like http://stairlift.abbeyaccess.com. These pages don't seem to be getting any placement either.

However, the search for the site title and the url itself work for it.
Any suggestions how to get more representation with Google?

Thankyou, GR

Have you ever thought of using url_rewrite instead of .php?... ?

Most search engines do not like .php with parameters. They like unique url. And, the .php?... url does not look friendly. I started the implementation with this style like
http://www.hot-web-ads.com/catg/bycatg.php?id=0707 (Home and Garden category)
but changed later. Now the new url is
http://www.hot-web-ads.com/catg/id/0707/show.html
and it is rewrited to old one in server side.

Thanks for your assistance. What does it take to implement what you have said here? Is it a real dificult process?

Yes, you can always find articles or discussion on the web through Google search. I learned from there too.

For my example, I have "catg" directory in my web home directory. I also have bycatg.php in "catg" directory. Then modify /catg/.htaccess by adding following lines:

Options +FollowSymlinks
RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /catg/
RewriteRule ^id/(.*)/show.html$ /catg/bycatg.php?catg=$1

Good luck!
