Hello everyone
I wonder if the 'great and good' would have a ponder over my dilema with Google. Although I have had my site up and running for nearly 4 years, I do not consider myself in any way to be a good 'webmaster'....I am very much an amateur, i don't pretend to understand how all this works.
As I said, my site has been up and running for almost 4 years. I have a Google ranking of 4 which in my business isn't bad. When I checked the last cache Google had of my homepage it was only a week old as recent changes had been included. So, everything should be hunky dory right? eeerrr No.
When I check the links of my competitors according to Google, there are plenty of links to their own sites pages. When I checked how many pages were listed in Google for my site...I got 1...my Homepage. I have over 300 pages in my site but none of them are seen by Google. Now I think most of these are my fault as the links to them are photos without text....I have only just discovered that there should be text links that the spider can follow (is that right?). But even so, my Homepage has 6 text links that appear on every page in my site, the naviagtion bar, but even these do not appear to have been seen by Google despite there being a lot of text content on these pages.
I have one more site that I started a few months ago, also ranked in Google. Of 13 pages Google sees 3. Even though its not great , its better than 1 and shows that the same software that I used for the second site is not to blame.
My main site is withlovefromvoronezh.com and the second one is russianextremetours.com
I don't have much hair left so if anyone with a clue could offer any ideas it would save me going completely bald by about a couple of years at least!!
Cheers
Steve

Just a few quick suggestions:
1 - Do a g**gle sitemap page and submit it to them. More info here:http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/login?sourceid=gsm&subid=us-et-about2
2 - Get a few high pr backlinks and you'll be crawled via them
3 - get numerous links on each page linking to other pages on your site
Good luck!

Thanks Sam for the repy
well, will you credit it, the day I post asking for help about my dissappearing website, when I checked it a few mins ago...hey presto, the pages were showing that were not last night....does Google read this noticeboard????
So Google can see my 600 odd pages at last....but it still doesn't count any of them as links whereas it does for my competitors....any ideas?

Hi
I have a similar problem, i run 2 sites one of them (casupply.co.uk) is indexed all the time and google used to rate it a 4 now since the changes rates it a 3 yet my other site - conservatory accessories has yet to be listed, index page is there and a deep search shows a number of old pages but can not find it in the natural listings.
It is almost as if the site has been sand boxed. If anyone out there can help me in finding out if it has then please let me know.
At least i can stop worrying if it has as i will just have to wait
Cheers
Darren
