This is in response to the message made earlier regarding go.com For one, I'm not sure what the $199 includes, but I was listed and am ranked #1 for the term "web hosting" on go.com and am the very first site you see. I used the Go Guides, which powers the first set of listings, then infoseek is the second.
What I am getting about all of this, what I was told from go.com is the Go Guides is their most valuable asset and it will go last. I do not think go.com will go away, for one they need a buyer, and the search engine part is last. Also, I do not see go.com just vanish and nothing come up. They are trying to sell it and hopefully keep most of it like it is, or at least the search engine part. I really don't think the search engine part will go away, however, the Go Guides might be implanted in other search engines later down the road like DMOZ, as it is a very important asset to go.com
What do you think?
