getting links idea

Hi all,

I just came accross what I would say is the best way to get new links!

I used to search the web looking for similar websites (or just any website) that would swap links with me. This took a long time and wasn't that great a success.

But yesterday I posted a swap links email to two of the investigative emails groups that I regularly post on. Just asking to swap links with other investigators around the world. I got 8 replies and getting the return link for all of them was done in about 3 hours! Most were PR2, PR3 but There were two PR4 and one PR5. My website's a PR3, so this helped alot.

I think the best way to swpa links would be to join email groups and post a swapping links email after making a few other posts to get to know the group.
yahoogroups.com is a good place to start.
