Hey guys and gals,
If I have a page that has a in it and this includes
a page from another website will that FRAMES page be spidered like it was a part of my site?
Here is an example:
If I have a frame that points to an article on howthingswork.com when my site is spidered will it be possible for my site to show up whenever someone searched for that particular content on the net?
This is not the exact scenario but it gets the point across.
Thank you very much!!
Mike

No, the other site's page is not on your site, it is still on the other site...
It's just like the browser has two windows open to 2 different sites.

I should mention, Mike, that it's unethical to frame someone else's content in your site without their permission for repurposing their content. It's also illegal.

Rest assured that I would not do anything unethical this was simply the best analogy I could come up with.
I want my content to be on someone else's pages.
Thank you!!

lol, in that case, you should provide them with permission in writing. they should be able to help you out with the logistics.
If you're mirroring as opposed to framing, your content would show up as being part of their site.
