Has anyone else noticed that they get different results from google depending on the web browser they are using? Anyone know the reason for this?

it may not be due to the different browsers,
i think there may be a difference in time when you searched in different browsers.
search results may change even with small time change

It will depend on which datacentre you get connected to, it seems that it is very rare these days for all of the DCs to show the same results!!

I've neer heard of that before. I do know you will get slightly different search results based on your country's IP address.

Also...if you have SafeSearch on with one, it won't be on with the other unless you change it will it? So that could be it.

I know that if you connect through different IP address ( for example, start with 218.xxx or start with 209.xxx ), the result may be vary for google, and Yahoo as well.

If you're using Firefox the default search might be Google.co.uk instead of .com? Otherwise i'd say it's the datacentre issue...
