I conducted an experiment (I sound so scientificy) with a client's site. I wanted to get them in Google as fast I possible. I read that if another site has a link back to them (my client) and Googlebot comes along, gbot will index the site. Sounds logical so I tried it. It worked. My client's site was index in a few days.

So instead of submitting to Google via google.com/addurl.html get a link to your site from a site that Googlebot visits a lot.

Hope it helps Smiling

We never submit directly but immediately start a link exchange program and let it get crawled. Remember to get people linking to your site using your main keywords as the link text!

I have a relatively new site (up for just 5 months). Was able to acquire a very oft visited site as a link (it usually shows up in the first page, often within the top 5 on a google search). However, my site is still nowhere to be found in a google search.

I've searched through 20 pages. Found references to links to my site from other sites, but not my link.

I used to use Adwords, but was told by my webhosting company's administrator that once you start paying for Adwords, Google takes you off their "free" list. I cancelled my google account a month or two ago, but my site still is a "no show". Can anyone confirm or rebuff what my administrator told me?

Thank you.

I'll rebuff it !

It's absolute crap

Your site will still be in the aging delay. Just have patience

If you want sales and adwords works for you keep it there. And get a few more links.

I agee total rubbish! It can take as long as a year to get well established and good rankings in google, you just have to be patient and link build!

One of my client sites has a PR8, i put a hidden link on that site for all newbie sites and they get indexed within a week, works a treat!

A popular site will get re-indexed often because the bots are getting pointed there many times thanks to the incoming links. Elementary my dear Watson!

Hi

There are no true answers on how to improve you rank or even get listed, patience is the only solution. Providing you have followed all the basic rules with regards content, keyword density, blah blah blah. Everyone has an idea on how it works and to be fair 80-90% of what is suggested actually makes a big differance but depending on your sites topic and howmany listings for similar things there are depends on your ranking / listing.

I currently run a number of sites for various reasons but these 2 sites have links to each other http://www.casupply.co.uk http://www.conservatory-accessories.co.uk

Do a search on google for "Building Plastics" and my main site appears, now like wise do a search for "Conservatory Accssories" and where exactly am i (if you find it let me know). this has a lot to do (IMHO) with the fact that conservatories is linked to 1000's of pages and building plastics not so many. My main site has been running for 5 years, the other for not even a year yet. Google indexs it and i have a sitemap.xml file on my server and i submit site maps to google at least once a week to update my changes for all my sites, if you want to know more then try this link google sitemaps

stick to the basics, which many people here are more qualified than me, can help you with

Good Luck
