Does anyone have an idea when the next google update is due? I believe they re index every 4 months, so when was the last one?

No idea because now days Google crawl in no schedule:p . But Google crawl its data base after 3 month.

I've found that there hasn't been much of a regular schedule for updates. They seem to incorporate new things into their ranking algorythm gradually over time. I don't obsessively monitor the SERP's so this is what I've noticed based on random/occasional checks.

Which update are you talking about? Pr or SERP. As far asI know SERP updates constantly. PR (on google toolbar every 3 month.

There is no way to know when Google is going to make the next Google Toolbar Page Rank update. I hope that you already know that Google Page Rank is not a fixed value and that it is constantly changing, only the Toolbar PR is fixed in order to allow people that do not know about "live estimated Google PR" to check on the value of a certain website.
For this reason I suggest to not focus or worry very much on when the next google PR will happen, instead focus to continue a quality professional link building campaign as results will come for sure.

Yes, exactly, and you can always see how you're doing in the SERPs and check your search traffic from your server logs. That's way more important than what your PR is. And you should also know that a good PR may not necessarily translate into good rankings. Actual rankings are obviously more important!

Google updates every now and then... They have no tentative date when will they updates..
August? You mean the Google PR update is that what you mean? Yes, I think it will be on 2nd or 3rd week of August as the last PR update was on April 28, 2007.
Maybe 2nd or 3rd week of August 'coz the last Google PR update happen on April 28, 2007 so the green bar update is every after 3 months....:jump:
Actually I agree on what they have said focus more on SERPs than PR...
