Hi,
I have read many posts & articles on SEO and thought I had implemented most of the recommended strategies to make Google happy but I still get ignored for any of my keywords.
My site dynamicdolphindesigns.com has been around for 4 or so years, I recently (3-4 months ago) registed a .com.au version to try to help capture the Google Aus searches and I accept I am burried in the sandbox with that one.
But my old site still does'nt even get listed, I feel like Im banging my head against a wall trying to get Google to see me !
One thing which had me concerned was I read google can penalize you for bombing ??? Where there are many links pointing to your site from other sites on the same server IP.
As a web designer, how do I avoid this ?
Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Phil.

Your on-page SEO is ok... not great, but better than most.
My guess is you have links from what big G calls "bad neighborhoods". That is usually link farms, FFAs and the like. They will also drop you for blog spamming.
Whatever is hampering you, it's not on the site, from what I could see.
Good Luck!

Michael,
Thanks for that, but doing a search on links, I only show up a few incoming links (20 or so) and they are mostly from my clients so Im not aware of any bad neighbors ......
Any more idea's....?
Im really reluctant to go and pay the huge money SEO firms are asking.
Thanks.

I would never, ever pay for SEO. It really is one of the least complex subjects we have to deal with as developers. It just takes a lot of work.
All of SEO can be summed up in few pages. In short, after on-page SEO, it's all about links.
If I were in your shoes, I would probably submit my site to some related directories and see what happens. 20 links is nothing. To do well on the SERPs, you will need tousands of links.
It's not a problem getting indexed, but getting on page one for competitive keywords is another story.
It just takes lots of time and hard work.

You have submitted to hundreds of directories over four years and have 20 IBLs?
That defies reason. I can't imagine your frustration! It must be horrible. I wish I could say more to help.
