I've never heard of Blogware so I can't say anything about that. I like Wordpress because, like you said, it's very easy to install and use. It's also got a huge community around it and lots of add-ons available. If you want to do something special, chances are someone has already tried to do that and you'll find it in google. I have heard from programmer friends that the code behind it isn't very good, but I'm not sure how other blogging systems compare.
It is a little tip-off for me that the Blogware home page uses tables for layout and doesn't come close to validating. If that's the case then I can't imagine the blogging platform is standards compliant either. Which wouldn't be a big deal to you, but table-free standards-compliant temples are much easier to customize than tag soup (especially if some of that tag soup is embeeded in the code). And you have to buy it from some third party retailer? That's lame.
Just found this:
"We have also included a “no-follow” feature, which ensures that no trackbacks, and/or comments containing URLs will be included in Google search results."
LOL, they don't know what they're talking about on that one!
Another thing I noticed is that they don't seem to have a support or help area. This is so important. Even on a google search you get about a million results but most seem to be general uses of the term and people who are using that platform - not help resources. Wordpress, on the other hand, has over 190 million results including download links, help resources, plugins, themes and more.
What advanced features were you looking for?

Well, I'm pretty sure any advanced functionality you need will be available as a Wordpress plugin or wotnot. Modular software design is good, you get to add in only the stuff that you need.
But really, if you like Blogware a lot then just use it. Personally I've never heard of it, but then I'd use Drupal for a blog, which you've probably never heard of either.
I'd think twice before paying for blogging software too, there's so much excellent Free software (which you can get for free) out there that can do everything you need.

And one of the great things about FREE software is that, if they are good quality, they tend to become very widely used (because there is no barrier to use). That means there are a lot of other people using the system who have asked questions online, created add-on modules and documentation etc. As I mentioned above - there's lots of help avaialble. If you're having trouble or want to know how to make the system do something all you have to do is type your question into Google.

I've never used Wordpress (but I'm switching soon), but I have had bad experiences with Blogger. I just got one of their dreaded bx errors, and they have no support. Wordpress has a better reputation.

Itls depend on Your requirement. If you create an informative Blog then go for wordpress(Google pay more attention to this site), and if you create a blog for adsence then go for Blogger.
