Ok i have the following scenario:

I wish to setup a secure payment method for my site where potential advertisers can pay a mixture of fixed or regular monthly payments to advertise on my site. I have a couple of genuine enquiries so I know this will work...hopefully...Smiling I have the following criteria:

1) My host offers a secure server but for extortionate monthly fees so it would have to be a third party handling the payments.
2) This third party must not charge monthly, annual, quarterly, etc fees and no set-up fees for handling the transactions.
3) I am not against paying a percentage of the money ( up to a max. of 5%) to the third party for handling my transactions.
4) The third party must be capable of handling international currencies and preferably paying me in GB pounds.
5) It must be a respected name...

Am I asking for the impossible? Is there anyone I could compromise on some of the above criteria to achieve my means? Am I on a road to nowhere with this one!!

Any help would be appreciated...

I don't personally know a lot about paypal - but I have several clients who use that service and they love it! They have had NO complaints at all.

PayPal is very reputable and I consider it the best. They have raised millions for the WTC recovery fund and they are widely used today.

PayPal works great, the response is pretty good as well, but their hidden fees suck, its ok for US and Canada resindents but international users get hit with two fees, a service charge and a conversion rate, one is 2% the other I forgot, I personally found this out the hard way after using it to pay for ebay auction wins, about 200 of them, the fees add up. As a seller I wasnt charged anything but had the threat of a $20US bank bounce back fee, thats about $50-60nz so was a worry.

Go with paypal, they are pretty good, email them if you have any questions, they always have answered my questions (not always that I could understand them, but they replied)

You could always check out the ebay forums, I think one or two of paypal people do reply to the paypal related questions.

Thank you all for the kind words about PayPal:) I am that person that posts on the eBay forums, as well as numerous others.

I do take note of all customer concerns, problems, and suggestions when I am out here.

As an FYI, I do have some PayPal t-shirts available (no charge). Email or PM me if you would like one (I am out of large shirts...I pretty much have xl and xxl in stock).

I can get t-shirts to pretty much any country. I would need a name/size/address to direct it to.
