I really dont know where I am going wrong but I am getting hardly any traffic to my site at all. Within the last 6 weeks or so ive had a grand total of 266 hits!!
I am spending hours every day working on my site, promoting it etc and beginning to get very disheartened.
I know its stil early days but even my personal blog gets more hits than my main website which I am hoping to make money through.
I have submitted to all major search engines, paid for I Need Hits Google-Boost service, I have a blog and journal for my site. a free links directory, classified ads section, plugboard, Ive submitted to hundreds of search engines and free directories, i;m a regular contributor to serveral forums, I use plug and tag boards, banner exchange programs, traffic exchanges.
I have link exchanged with some very good websites - all relevant to mine, and written and had published several articles, so apart from paying out money i dont have i dont know what else i can do!
I am currently reconstructing my entire site using the advice I got from the reviews people kindly gave me in another forum board here.
I have been checking my link popularity and it really isnt showing what it should given all the work i am putting in. Google has indexed me but shows no backlinks for me even through if i do a search for my site or articles i have published on other sites, they are showing up??!! bit confused there!
Am I missing something majorly important here that i should be doing? I have optimised my main pages as best i know how and am not going to redo them all until i re-publish the new site (which is taking hours every day) I feeling like its not worth it at the moment. I am i being impatient or naive here?

What is the URL?
It can take up to 12 months to get traffic from Google, especially at the moment! How old is the site?

its been running about 6 weeks, i know i cant really expect to be getting thousands of visitors especially from search engines this early but i expected more than just 266

its quite hard to get real visitors to a website.The site should contain important or useful info and update it.its useless using autosurfin website.i used to get about 2000 hits for my page perday.but it didnt work.google warnd me using autosurfing website so i had to remove all my links from autosurfing and manual surfing websites and now i get only 50-100 hits perday.but its useless.dont worry u will get more visitors for ur site..try other promoting ways and give your site an interactive layout to gain visitors

It doesnt matter if you submit your site to 10 million search engines, what you have to do is get about half a dozen ONE WAY links from other websites pointing to yours - then you will get hits

Start developing links with other sites that are related to yours. If you have to purchase links on sites that get the type of traffic that you are looking for.
