I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas/suggestions for where else to advertise my software or other means to market it online.

Currently I am mainly advertising on Hotscripts through a sponsored listing in my category.

I just checked out your site and I love it to say the least, it is very well put together and has great content.

My first piece of advice would be to list your free email obfuscator under the sonic mailer pro on the home page (in the same fashion). Everyone loves free stuff and you'll grow your mailing list a lot bigger by advertising it which will somewhere down the line result in sales and larger your audience. I know you have the stay informed box on your site, however people are much more likely to subscribe with an incentive.

secondly I take it that the source code it encoded with Zend Guard or some equivalent, most of these allow you to create a trial version that will expire after x days. If you can manage to do this you really should! I believe it is how a lot of software companies get off the ground, there are loads of big software and download sites out there that are more than happy to list your trial product on their site.
Sure not everyone will go buy it after the trial is up but over all it will increase your sales and create brand awareness if you get the trial out there.
(I think this option needs to be considered as the biggest root to market)

Banner ads might work - you can get a great banner designed for next to nothing from 20dollarbanners.com - highlight what the product is, does and why it's different/ better (identify the problem it solves). (You may get a good response from banner ads for a trial version) - so you've got the banner now expose it on sites like this where people may have a need for it - internet marketing forums should get a good response - at the end of the day it's only £30 to advertise on here you don't stand an awful lot to loose.

These are just a few thoughts off the top of my head which would need expansion upon but it's a starting point. Before you ask yourself the question where are you going to market it ask your the question HOW will I market it, after you have the how the where will be a lot more obvious.

Edit:
Not trying to offend Pr0gr4mm3r but to be blunt I wouldn't go near eBay with a barge pole with your product - successful soft sellers on eBay sell it very cheaply, in great mass, and with a broad selection of soft to choose from. I don't think you stand to gain a lot from targeting eBay's audience.

Hi Triexa,

I just noticed you've got a banner up here; it looks nice, I wish you the best of luck with it!

You’re Welcome,

I'm glad to hear you have got a trial version they really do work, I myself have downloaded many trial versions of soft before and ended up buying the soft a week later. I also recommend you get your trial product listed on places like download.com and related sites it should get a good response.

To reiterate about internet marketers; they all use email soft to keep in touch with their customer and subscriber base finding somewhere they all hang out and advertising it to them would certainly be a good idea.

You may also want to contact people with currently large subscriber bases in the 1000's and ask them to write a newsletter about it, they will want a commission for every sale (so you'll need to set up an affiliate programme) however even if they took 50% you should still make a killing out of sales very quickly exposing it to such a large audience. (I know the names of a few with the power to do it – I can PM if you want) whether they will or not is down to them but if you never try you’ll never know!
