Rent or collect "opt-in" e-mail addresses and e-mail invitations to your prospects. Beg or swap links to your site from other sites your prospects visit. Pay commissions to affiliates who send customers to you. Don't spam your prospects. Promote your site URL off line everywhere you can. Carefully promote your site on blogs and forums. You can get the best result if you follow the above steps carefully and I am sure your site will get the best traffic.

I am doing SEO for my sites as well as some social marketing via facebook and myspace. But if you need quality traffic and long term results i suggest SEO

Probably for website promoting and ranking and Indexing do SEO techniques and get back links form good domains and PR domains and moreover,maintain a social media and networking for visitors for you website..

2. Using social medias - I am using twitter & Facebook to get traffic too, However, compare to search engines, the traffic from social media is less.

I use social bookmarking, blog commenting, article submission and directory submissions. These have helped me a lot and have proved their worth for the last couple of years...

Best to promote in popular social networking site and social media sites.. One reason is the popularity of this sites.. it also best if you will also promote in search engines..
