Hi All,
I am currently on Pay Per Click on Google, I am receiving Impr. in thousands, Could any one help me in understanding what are the Impr.
Secondly on the Web STAT we got Hits, what does it mean. Is it clicks or some thing else,
Please give brief idea.

Impressions are the amount of times your advert has been put on pages (but not necessaryly clicked on), hits will be how many times you have been clicked... if you go to help in google adwords there is a glossary of terms for you.

Don't worry about that because you are paying for clicks. And impression doesn't mean that yoour ad has been viewed.

thanks, but then what is Hits in Web STATS, both Impressions(on Google) and Hits(Website Web STATS) are giving me different result.
so i don't understand what are the Hits then, are these same as Impressions?

Hi, sometimes there is confusion between hits and impressions, all the factors such as search engines robots and crawlers agents hitting your website and robots text file will be counted as hits and so reflected in your web stats.
But impressions mainly are concerned with people viewing your advertisement, they can be the usual AdWords text links on the publishers websites or recently through the graphical ads that Google is able to serve, in either case, since real people will see your ads, they are impressions.
