I would like to know of you "webmasters"!
Do you use promotion software or you promote your sites manualy or you pay for it?
What software or services do you use?
What would be the the best option at the begining?

The best thing to do is by your self.
I would pay to submit to yahoo
but with their new policy I would consider
on submitting for free!

Read through this thread here in the Search Engine Challenges forum to get some more tips on submitting to the search engines.
I would go along with submitting by hand.

Well I can not imagine to fill web site data to over 100 search engines, this would take to much time. I would need over a month to do this.
What about web site submition software?

Its been my experience that each search engine has a different submission policy, so I also submit by hand to the big boys.
So, submit to the big boys by hand and follow their policy and then submit to the smaller ones using a submission service or software. I use bravnet to submit to those smaller ones.
Just my 2 cents

Submission software is a waste of time and money. I'm sorry, but you will be best off promoting manually. You need to understand that it's not worthwhile to get listed in hundreds of search engines and small directories. Who uses John Bob's Search Engine anyway? You should stick to:
Yahoo! (If there's one place you should pay, it's here.)
AlltheWeb.com
Zeal
Google
Looksmart (If you have money burning holes in your pocket.)
DMOZ.org
Submit to all of those manually. Once you get listed in those, you will see your site start popping up in tons of smaller search engines. A lot of them feed off the big boys, so thus, it's a waste to submit to hundreds and hundreds of them.
Site submission software is a big waste of money. I receive thousands of impressions a day on my site and haven't spent a cent on promotion. It goes to show those so-called softwares aren't necessary. Furthermore, many search engines will ban your site if you use them.
