Hello,
I just launched my latest piece of crap ... <> ..
Nothing much but I want to get ~5000 visitors daily. Is this possible? I have enough space for banner exchange, buttons and text links. Where can I find webmaster who will exchange some traffic with me?
Any other traffic suggestions? It's not that much, only 5k daily
Thanks in advance.

My belief is you should have something to promote before you worry about promoting it. Firstly, get a domain name. No one is going to remember your URL like that. Secondly, you refer to it in such a derogatory way and I tend to agree with you.
It consists of entirely links - there are literally thousands of other sites that do the same thing, and better.
My feeling is you need some "beef" to your site. Maybe write some reviews of your favorite free services - or organize your links a little. Publish user experiences, etc. - you get the point.

Agree totally - you need to give it some real content and get a domain name.
Once you have given people a reason to go to your site the promotion will begin to sort itself (recommendations, links etc)
If you want fast traffic then you could always buy traffic from companies (such as webhitsdirect.com, trafficjammarketing.com, widermedia, com etc etc)
Work on a viral marketing campaign - flash games are a good one. If you can create something good enough and funny enough the effect will snowball providing you with loads of new visitors.
Get in the search engines - you have got enough links on your site; but are these people linking back to you? Pad it all out with some real content and the search engines will start to look at it.
Why not get a domain name that has expired and is listed in Yahoo? We all know how much traffic you can get from these! (try, using expired domain name sites, Yahtool or greatdomainfinder.com)
As said, sort the content, the domain name and then concentrate on the marketing - it should then all fall into place.

Thank you people.
I appreciate your support, actually I will never get more than 150-200 daily visits. I am damn looser like my damn site.
Thank you again.

? seems like you are taking this all rather too hard. Aren't you interested in anything in particular? Is there nothing in your home town that would be of interest to the rest of the world?
It's usually content alone that drives traffic -- find something to say, and people will come.

Suzanne is right - theres no point in giving up. You have done most of the hard part, creating a site, getting all the links, finding the information - now all you gotta do is pad it out with a bit of old fashioned content.
150 - 200 hits daily - thats a great start, there are many people that would be more than happy with that!
Get the content in and the people will come!!
Don't give up!

Thank you for this question.
First of all, I am from little city in Bulgaria and I have one BIG BIG dream. It's ... ehm.. funny but I will do anything to make it happen.
I am 18 now, and I just got my driving licence. My dream is to buy a car, yeah real car. And the dream is that car to be BMW 318. Here in BG, such car is about $4-5k. I am looking forward to earn the half of this money from Internet. Funny, isn't it? Bulgarian piece of sh^% is trying to make "net money". That's why I want traffic to my site, because there are sponsors which will pay something for advertising them. This will make my dream come true. Ironic? Stupid? Whatever..
I am "online" since 1996-1997 and I am doing web design and stuff for 2 years. I made about $500 for 2 years. I don't want to wait another 4 years to scrape together $2k. Funny again, eh?
Once again I want to thank you all!!! There ARE good people on the net.
*ps*: excuse my putrid english, please

It might just be me but isn't posting three different url's leading to the same site a wee bit misleading and could be construed as spamming the boards?

Eh!?
There was no connection between the urls. I just wanted to show my tiny portfolio... is this spamming?

You could well be right.
Picture this:
I'm here browsing the forum, my 12-year-old daughter beside me. I click your site link and look around.
"Look sweetheart, neat skins for..."
She looks.
Then I close your site. She's still looking.
Up comes an explicit full-screen porn ad. I close it.
Up comes another, even more explicit...
About 6-7 in total, each popping up when I closed the last one.
My daughter agrees.
Her mother may have a similar opinion of me when she hears about it.
Thanks a lot.
Mike.

Keep working on getting traffic. Just hits does not totally work. You need to get targeted traffic for the best results. You can get lots of free traffic all over the web but you need tons of links on your site for that. If you have good content on your site and something people will buy send some targeted traffic.
