Serving ads in my RSS feeds (and other RSS questions)
I'm getting requests at my site for full text RSS feeds--meaning, some want to get whole articles rather than teasers. The concern I have with this is that
a. How will they see the ads? I'm told you can serve up good ads via RSS (see http://daringfireball.net/2010/03/attention_is_the_real_resource), but I don't know how to do that.
b. Will it reduce ordinary site traffic?
c. "b" would not be a problem if I can claim x number subscribe via rss. So... how can one tell how many people are subsribed to his/her RSS feeds?
(My site is Drupal 6)

I know sites like Feedburner can tell how many subscribers you have to your feeds.
Yes, I would say that it would reduce visitors to your site. I have several feeds in my reader, and I hardly visit those sites through my browser. However, I view them as the full web page in Thunderbird, which means it loads the page, ads and all.

Thanks. Not sure how to use Feedburner in Drupal, but I'll see what I can find.

Thanks for adding these real time stats. Will I be able to add a second email address to my Feedburner account soon. Right now I have two accounts and logging in and out of them is a pain.
