I was wondering what will be SEO in 2012.Will it be focused on Social Media or anything else? What strategies should you'll be following in the coming year for optimization?.Please share your views.

It's mostly going to be social media and big bucks. If you don't have the money, go with social media. If you can't interact with people, then you're going to have a difficult time getting discovered.
If you have great content, then you will have good SERP rankings. Optimize for people, not search engines. This is stressed by Google.

Same strategies as 2011, but more focus on fresh quality content with quality backlinks. Yeh it is true that if you put more focus on social media then you can generate more traffic.

I think SEO strategy in 2012 will depend on search engine updates. For example google panda updates comes in 2011 and approx 60 percent site is affected by this and every webmaster has to change their strategy according this updates.
So If google gives another version of the panda updates in 2012 so we have to apply seo strategy according to this.
