Hello All!
I have an html e-newsletter and a text version that is being sent. We have about 1500 names. We have a program that helps out. We are sending direct delivery so that the receiving server does not see it as spam. But some of the addresses are seeing it that way. These are all optin - so I am not spamming thm but I want these addresses to go through.
Any ideas?
Sorry if this is the wrong place...

if their ISP is filtering them all you can do is have the customer contact their ISP and complain.
You could try to get rid of 'spam' words and phrases in your emails, such as 'XXX' or 'FREE' or 'Click Here' or 'make money'. Also generate a different from name/address and reply-to address for each message. If an email server recieves messages to multiple recipients from the same source on or about the same time, it may flag it as spam.

As Rob touched upon, avoid using words that could trigger spam filters. There are more of them than you'd think, for example: http://www.ezine-tips.com/articles/management/20020826.shtml -- that site is very good and I recommend you subscribe and read their weekly tips. You should be able to dig up some other material there on how to avoid getting listed as a spammer.

BTW, even with an opt-in newsletter, unless it's a paid subscriber letter, you can still be accused of spamming and be punished as such. The accusation is all that matters.
