Has anyone had luck with online contests? I cam across this
site that will set up online scratch games for your site to help build optin lists..would it work? It sounds like an interesting concept. See what I mean at http://www.mywebcontest.com

Would appreciate any comments as I think I might give it a try

Thanks

I ran a monthly sweepstakes on my e-tail site for the first year of business. Got some traffic but few sales. And was a pain to administer.

The only contest I've run was a random drawing. The catch was everyone who entered was subscribed to our newsletter. This helped boost subscriptions up quite a lot. I promoted it in sites like Contest World, but most make you pay now.

I'm considering offering a random subscriber a prize for subscibing to my newsletter, do you have any good idea of what can i offer...except a t-shirt, hat and stuff like that ?
