Have you tried those networking sites, like Ryze (ryze.com)? It's more personal contact and networking, but you can probably find people in your target audience and get the word of mouth started.

The best way to get more FREE Targeted Traffic is to get yourself a whole bunch of link partners that have the same musical theme as you.
Example: You could link to sites that relate to
percussion instruments
percussion drums
history of percussion
percussion equipment
music instruments
Music supplies
etc etc
This will also increase your search engine ranks...because every link that points to you is counted as a vote.
It takes time & is very labour intensive but is well worth it
