My twin brother Ryan and I decided a long time ago that we would create a network of websites relating to everything: gaming, art, music, Christianity, and much more. We have a rather poor family due to the fact my Mom and myself are chronically ill. I have tried my best to reach out to people and provide them with a great, kind, and supportive community - which has worked great so far. We have done very well with advertising on our own, but with our network consisting of more than 10 websites we just feel that we don't have the proper exposure at all.
I am not out here to promote our website, but it is called the "WebQuad Network" at http://www.webquad.com If you are curious, you can check it out. We have a good, kind community and that is our main goal: provide websites with a community relating to each topic. We do NOT have the money to advertise, and indeed, that is crucial (truly, it is). I have tried to submit to ODP, but have not received the proper respect. It is now a year since I have submitted, and no results yet; I have not been added to the directory, and yes I have contacted them through their forums. I feel like I am submitting to my competitors - lol
I do not get a direct or proper response. I have tried free methods, but those do not truly work.
I was wondering if anyone could help me advertise my website...would anyone be willing or kind enough to? Let me know what you think and write back soon!
And to let you know, I am 17 years old, and of course my twin brother is. What turned out to be a fun website design turned out to be much bigger than we expected (which is great!)
Now we just need bigger advertising!
Thanks for everything!

Hi,
With ODP make sure your submitting to the category thats as far into the directory as possible. You've got more chance of being listed in directories/religion/christianity than in /directorys/religion
You might also find http://www.spider-food.net useful too!

Are you submitting to other SE's and getting link exchanges, too?
