I think it's unique the way it is. Stop focusing on search engines and focus on word of mouth.

You wont get rankings for two main reasons, your domain just forwards to free webspace and secondly search engines can't see and therefore can't index anything from your site. Don't really know who would come to your site anyway but your best bet is to find other forums related to monsters (?) and post your site there.

Even for amateurs buying a .com domain and hosting isn't expensive. I'd treat yourself and go for it.
What you could do is create text only alternate versions and concentrate on optimising them? Otherwise as clientcenters says, concentrate on word of mouth, forums, blogs etc.
p.s. With large images, break them into pieces so the page appears to load quicker. For non-broadband users it's depressing waiting for each page to load.

Just wanted to add that the site is very cool, very unique. Pushing for traffic on such a niched site can be tough though.

It's a good idea and promoting niche sites like that is actually relatively easy because it is unique content and you are not looking for traffic, you need interested visitors.
You absolutely need to get rid of the frames, and the free hosting will cause problems later because any rankings you build up will be lost when you move, as you will have to run the site properly and need to add things such as a forum, or image uploads etc.
Text is the most important thing. A few pages about the site, and why people draw and doodle monsters or fantasy figures things like that, and have a description of the image on the page.
The idea is a perfect candidate for natural links and will should very well in it's niche. Just don't expect to rank for "monsters" anytime soon
BUT the frames have to go first
this is all a search engine will see otherwise

Yeah, that's the key solution, I think. There is absolutely nothing for Google to index right now. I would take the style as it is (hand drawn doodles), and put it in smart places -- graphics for a banner, graphic "flourishes" or embellishments throughout the site, but primarily text.

I'm sorry, but I don't know what frames you are talking about. I don't know if my site has frames, or maybe I just don't know what a frame is. Will you please elaborate? God bless!

the frame is what your host has put in place to allow the use of the .tk name rather than your free hosting
It's known as web forwarding or frame forwarding.

I woudln't bother, aubmit express was definently the wrong way to go as SEs hate programs like that anyway. Just submit it your self to google, yahoo, msn.
You need more content on your page (TEXT!!!) and the url should have a keyword you're wanting to rank well for in the SEs.

I'd say word of mouth would be the best way to go.
I'm sure there are drawing/art communities that would find your site interesting.
