It appears that Bing is overriding the default search provider set by users of Internet Explorer 6. Several IE6 users have complained that since Bing launched, the search provided went from Google (which they set manually) to Bing.
To makes things even worse, when the user tries to set the search provider back from Bing to Google, it doesn’t allow them.
Here is the detailed article - IE Forces Bing As Default Search Provider

Thats a very bad thing. As IE is owned by microsoft so they are able to do this.
Moreover there prime target is google's market and popularity but not a easy task to do so.Google got another tough competitor apart from yahoo and thats MSN Bing.
I think it will be very tough and almost impossible for MSN to capture google's market completely.

I was reading somewhere, I forget where that they have fixed the issue, something about the server that handles updates.
(or they just got caught, who knows).

Bing? Ah, yes. "The old groaner." Sounds appropriate.

I'm just glad I finally added firefox to my computer last year so I can use IE6 (I never upgraded) or firefox. Bill Gates isn't going to force anything on me!
I tried Bing once and don't see what all the excitement is about. I still think google is hands down the best.

I use Google because that is what i am used to using...
I have Firefox on my computer and Laptop and that is on all of the OS's that i have installed.
I only really use Internet Explorer for Windows Updates and that is it.
Microsoft are just trying to "Control" so they can get more market over over companies; surely Google must be able to do something.
HEY: I know, Google OS
