Hello, I run a hosting and design company (kreativenetworks.net) and im just wondering if anyone knows how to increase google's PageRank because mine as of now is 0/10 and also, if anyone knows how to increase Alexa ranks.

Kreative Networks has been up for about 7 months, and I have read and read about how to increase ranking and have done lots and lots of SEO's but nothing is working. Help Please

Thanks

Ermmm... try getting people to link to your website. Send out press releases to sites that specialise in web hosting and hope they decide to spread the word.

Well, the good news is that you have a large site and my site scanner counts over 500 pages. The bad news is I don't see much in the way of good optimization...

Your forums should be a great source of content, but the page titles are not optimized and say things like "view topic", "posting", "search", and "view forum". You may need to get the help of a programmer, but you should be able to modify the templates and get some of the content into the title and description tags, which may help.

But for the main part of your site, some pages don't have much more than "Kreative Networks :: Index" and that's not my idea of an optimized page. I think the ones that you feel are optimized all have the same page titles, "Welcome to Kreative Networks: Hosting, Web Design, Hardware....".

Each title and description needs to have as many keywords as possible and describe the page in good English. And you should research your keywords that you are thinking about using.

It may also help to get a few more links pointing to your site. If you get our submission list we have some web hosting directories that should help with links and traffic somewhat.

Hope you don't mind if I butt in here. Wink

What you want to concentrait on with a website is high quality, original (or as original as you can get) content. If your content is good, you can join groups, go to forums, sell ads, etc. etc. and people will start talking about your site. You will get visitors / customers / links because you have something worth seeing. Think about what really sets your services apart from the million other companies doing the same thing.

All the links in the world won't make your site more popular if no one stays. Luckily the "get a million sites to link to yours" sites aren't as popular as they once were.

Just create good content, join groups that relate to your speciality and have patience... all good things come to those who build great websites. Laughing out loud

(of course that's simply my personal opinion. Feel free to ignore me. Wink )

[edit to add]
Definately optimize your site and titles as Christian_SEO suggests! If the SEs can't find you, how could potential customers?

gotta finish redesigning my sites so I can show them again.

the way to get a higher page rank is to get more links - when you get more links - hopefully more people will visit - this will improve your alexa rating.

Forget content and forget Alexa ratings. Concentrate on getting as many quality non FFA links using your keywords in the text of the link. One way links are better but can and probably will cost you. I'd suggest link exchanges. Do know that links can and will take up to 4 months to even show so be patient and keep getting them. The best way is to not only get good links from high PR sites but get in on pages that are highly trafficked.

You are joking aren't you? Without good content what's the point of having the site in the first place?

Does it even matter how many "hits" you get to your site if no one stays...
Content is (and always will be) King! Laughing out loud

Karen,

Ron's into links as a means of optimizing. This is an old issue and there are others (maybe 2-3) that feel as he does that links are the most important thing. He knows you have to have content also...

I used to think links were stupid, and I still think that their current value is going to be reduced at some point, but they are part of the equation, and many links can do some good things...

Unless in the case of my site where they are all zap out of the Google Universe... then they do nothing to help you....

Suggestions, Ron?

Suggestions, Ron?

What do you mean? Are you saying that the links that you have obtained do you no good? A link is not the cure all, but instead it's the number and quality of the link. One link will not get you ranked for SEO even from a PR9 or PR10 site (ok, maybe PR9 or above), but I guarantee you that if you had 50 PR9 sites linking to you; you'd surely be on the first page.

Content is not "King". Another Jill Whalen pupil I see. Content means nothing if you don't have traffic (which comes from links) and links mean nothing if you don't have content. These people WOULD NOT be asking for help with there website (content) if they didn't ALREADY have content. What's a question about getting ranking do you if you have a site that has no content? Of course they have content. If you have a site selling widgets adding an additional, say 50 pages, WILL DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING FOR YOU.

Sorry my bad!

I wasn't yelling. Some people italic the word, I cap the word.

I started asking clients for links about four years ago. That's along time to build links.
There are quite a large number of sites that are also not clients that link to my site.

Some times I have PR and backlinks, sometimes I don't. The good thing is it does not hurt the trafffic to my site much. The bad thing is that it looks like I suck. But that's ok, 'cuz I don't or at least I don't suck too much...

Here's what I think my problem is:

My site has really not been updated much in about 3 years. It has limited content, average quality, and it's all mouldy and decayed. Stale, neglected, forlorn...

WHEN I update my site to the new shiing version (with much more content) I expect to be as happy as a Google employee with 500,000 shares of pre-IPO stock...! I think all my links will come home to roost, so to speak and things will be good again, or at least better.

Either that, or Google hates me.

If anyone knows better it's you, that Google loves new content and not necessarily new content as in new or more pages, but just changes to your site. I'd assume the same as you.

That's weird. How old are the two links?
