I have found a great client, who has around 30 domains and sites he wants me to handle.
He has stated he wants 100,000 hits a month to each site, and he will be happy. He wants this type of traffic in 6 months or less.
After talking to him, I think if I just get 10 sites or so up around the 100,000 hits a month range he will be happy.
The guy is paying me 3500.00 a month to manage and develope the sites, he has also given me the freedom to do whatever I think needs to be done etc.
In todays market this guy is a dream client.
if anyone can help me with any idea's on how to develope some sites that would recieve this type of traffic please contact me, asap.
and if there is anything I can do for anyone let me know.
thanks
Brandon

try overture.com. if you have the $$ they'll get you the traffic.

yes overture will get you the hits but at 10 cents a hit, well you would spend well over 3500.00 a month dealing with 10 sites to promote.
thanks for your tip though,

Have the sites been optimised and submitted to the search engines?
What are the sites about?
How big are the sites?
Have the sites been submitted to the unpaid/paid directories?
Have you started link exchanges?

100,000 seems like kind of an arbitrary number. One thin you might want to explain to your client is that a smaller amount of quality traffic is a lot better than large amounts of random traffic. What he preseumably wants is to get people to purchase his product, whatever that may be.
It would probably help if you could give us a little more info about what these sites are about. Are they information-based sites? Are they selling a product or service? What sort of a service?

"...100,000 hits a month to each site"
That is one tall order - be sure to find out what happens if you can't make that, or tell him point blank, you cannot promise that, but sure will work to acheive it. That is an awful lot of hit to six different sites. We're talking 600,000 hits in total! Is he willing to give you an expense account on top of the $3500? that would be an added plus...

Skip Overture and go straight for Google AdWords. Overture has partnered with Gator (scumware) and a lot of webmasters are not happy about that. Besides Google gets 150 million searches a day. I don't know stats on other search engines, but Google will be your best bet.
Other than that, make sure you've optimized the sites to the hilt. Figure out which individual pages you want to promote the most and devise your linking structure around that. The best way to get to the top of the search engines is to offer quality content on your sites. Write articles, hire qualified people to write articles, and make sure that each of those articles is very keyword dense. (Using keywords every 18-20 words is common I think... Not sure about that.)

You can also buy traffic from traffic wholesellers, but that would also be expensive.

The traffic I could get through pay to click search engines and traffic wholesellers. What I want to know is how does one go about finding clients that will pay you to manage their web domains?
Ask me how to get 10,000 visitors to your site for only $39.99
Webhosting starting at 2.99 a month.

There are many ways to get 100,000 visitors a month to a site.
However, I think you need to educate your client and try to find our what his REAL goals are. I doubt he just wants to have 100,000 visitors. I am sure that his end goal is sales of some kind.
If you have 100,000 visits, but none of them convert to sales.... what’s the point?
Targeted traffic is what your client needs.
With that in mind, it would depend on the market niche you are targeting and the competition within that niche as to if 100,000 target hits a month is realistic or not.
It is actually very possible to generate 100,000 targeted unique visitors a month. However, you will need to have several things.
1. Unique and valuable content.
2. A strong reason for visitors to return or refer others.
3. A Unique Selling Position (USP) that clearly differentiates you from the competition.
4. A clear plan to incorporate search engine optimization, inbound links generation, PPC advertising, viral content, building an opt-in email list (not for Spam, but to send out actual valuable content), an offline and online public relations campaign (press releases, magazine articles, etc.) and many more strategies.
Also, explain to your client that his focus should be less on traffic and more on "Most Desired Response" (sales).
If you get 100,000 untargeted visitors and only have 100 sales your conversion rate is 0.1%.
To get the same 100 sales if you have a 1% conversion rate (very easy to do with target traffic and a persuasively designed site) you only need 10,000 targeted visitors.
If you have a 5% conversion rate (not uncommon for many of my clients) you only need 2000 visits per month for 100 sales.
You need to help your client focus on conversion rate...not traffic.

You will have to let the sites do it natuarally, have the sites optimized and wait for the spider to come, get google toolbar and it will have the sites rated on how many links lead to them. Also if you have the design freedom then make it so visitors have something to come back for, this and search engine will be your 2 biggest sources for hits. "says site pro news" and "web promotion plus" newsletters. I do have a webmaster directory at my site which may help truly-organic.com good luck on this venture.
