Hope someone can answer this....
I purchased a bulk email program and have put together
a large targeted email list, and went to send it out through
my juno account and it gets cut off at 150 emails.. that is it
will only allow me to send out 150 emails every two hours.
Does anyone know of an isp (or a way) that will allow
me to send out all the emails at once?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Only way I know for sure, is to have your own mail server, colocated at the ISP.
Maybe, you can try setting up Argosoft Mail Server (argosoft.com) locally and use it to send out your list. Might work, but you can still get in a whole lot of trouble! Be sure ALL of your emails are opt-in and have an opt-out mechanism.

I don't think its worth sending out bulk emails from your local computer. I'm pretty sure that as soon as your ISP starts getting spam complaints (which they will, whether your newsletter is opt in or not!) and realise what your up to, you can be pretty sure they'll suspend or cancel your account, and thats only if they're feeling lenient.
If your bulk emailing slows or stops any of their servers then they can start legal proceedings against you as what your doing will essentially be a denial of service attack on their systems and thats not even including the steps other ISP's could take against you. That is of course, in the worst case scenario. Normally they'll just cancel your account and give you a telling off. But in my opinion, its not worth the risk.

Some provider already block smtp from going out there network if it doesn't come from there server. here in canada all bell users have to use bell smtp server even if they have an other acount somewhere else.

Exactly!
I agree with druagord, cause if you will send bulk emails from your local computer - there is a 99% probability that your provider will AT LEAST ask you not to do that again. So, as for my thoughts - i think you need to do your bulk sendings from the web, cause people who do it from web do not have pain in the... dealing with ISPs, SPAM rights etc...
Good luck!
Tell me if you need any help...

Just for the record... I answered a question with a possible solution to 'a' problem. It was not my intent to condone SPAM!

You may want to look into a bulk e-mail program that will let you set how many e-mails to send in an x amount of time. So say you have 1000 e-mail addresses, you tell the program to send 100 every 15 - 30 minutes, then it will send the first 100, wait for the x time then send the next 100, and so on until the list is complete.
You may also consider getting a hosting account with a company that doesn't care if you spam or not and go that way. Most companies (mine included) will cut off your account if they get reports of you spamming, so you may want to look for cheap throw away accounts that you can use.

Hi all,
I am not surprised your internet provider cut you off after 150 emails.
Although this thread has not been active for a while, a couple of comments:
* Don't send out commercial email unless you have affirmative consent as defined under 3 (1) of the Act.
(True, affirmative consent is not mandated, but with all the 'online hawks' the risk is too great of being blacklisted and then another series of hassles arise.)
* Don't use your local IP address to send out solicited bulk mailings. Why?
Due to 6 (2) of the Act third party liability can be imputed to an internet access service that knowingly allows its service to be used to send out commercial email message with false or misleading header information and intends to profit from the sale of access for use of its service in this fashion.
Most credible IP's will not run the risk and so will block you from using their service to send out bulk email.
* From the tenor of your post, it sounds like you are planning on sending out unsolicited bulk mailings to harvested email addresses. Don't do it.
Hopefully, I am wrong. If I am and the recipients have solicited receipt of commercial messages, as suggested by others you need to send out your messages using a web based list management service.
There are quite a few firms around - you can get web hosting and put software on your site or use a third party to provide the service.
I would suggest using a competent third party service - [url=http://www.emailaces.com[/url] - no affiliation - the owners are knowledgeable and helpful.
And there are lots of ways of legitimately building email lists of people who want to receive your messages.
Trusting these comments are of some value.
