I need to promote my blog, just wanted to know how it is possible to attract traffic on my blog, my blog is a technology focused blog. Give me some good tips to attract traffic traffic on my blog, i am done with the submitting of my blog to various blog directories, give me some more tips

Use craigslist, link building, directory submission, dofollow links etc. you need to work hard if you can't spend money.

well, you can always use articles. It is time consuming but since you do not want to spend any money, it is a good wayto get started. Pick good relevant keywords and use them in your title and your article body. Submit them to online ezines with links back to your site in the BIO section. Also make sure you ping your posts and use social networks to bookmark your posts.

Having unique and interesting content is essential. I have had success through social bookmarking sites (start with StumbleUpon - if the right people see your post they'll Digg it and so on). If you really want to get attention, be controversial (saying something negative about Mac or Linux is sure to get people to bite!).
If your writing is good, consider contributing articles to higher profile sites in your niche. At A Padded Cell, we would love it if other people would contribute content. We can't pay anything, but you get a free backlink. This is different from submiting to article directories (where you just end up with a lot of duplicate content that doesn't count anyway). Here you're targeting quality sites that can give you quality link juice, real visitors, and a boost in your reputation.

You could give it a specific identity and then do the whole facebook and twitter thing and build up some followers that way.

Well, you can use social networks (like twitter, facebook) to get more visitors to your blog, as well as if you can participate on your niche related blogs,forums, communities and etc, you can get direct hits as well as hits from search engines. Article marketing too one of the powerful approach to get more traffic.
