Hi wazzup,

Could you please not use full caps in your post titles? I've fixed them on the two topics you posted today.

To make a good impression:

  • have a good design that suits your topic and looks unique
  • have good content with interesting headlines
  • use good grammar, spelling, and writing style
  • Don't have too many ads, or use annoying ads

Those are just some quick ideas ...

Good content always make good impressions.. Sp makes sure your blog has quality fresh content, Readers always like that, and if you can maintain it that will be better.

For me, making a good impression means convincing me in some way that I'm visiting a community and not just a site. They can show this by highlighting comment sections, having big social media buttons, or even writing in a tone that shows they take their readership seriously.

That and clean and uncluttered design.

For me content is the king.Design is a part to attract visitors but content is the thing which will drive those visitors back to your site.Make your content worth reading for visitors so that they always comeback and check what you are updating.

The umbrella requirement here is to my mind creating a blog for visitors, not for search engines/rankings/whatever. That might look like a vague statement, but this somehow shines through as soon as you visit a given blog. It needs to be non-obtrusive, which involves design and moderation in advertising.
