Hi all
jus thought i would start off this tread to get an idea of how good your sites are!
1/ What PR do you have?
2/ What Alexa rank?
3/ How much free traffic do you get?
4/ If you site is for making money, what is your conversion rate (IE what % of visitors actually spend money
5/ How old is the site?
6/ How do you get it to be so successful

Our most important site has a PR6. It has taken over a year of SEO to achieve a good status, but it has been around for about 5 years.
The site is ranked 2nd for a very general but important keyword. It is supplemented by Google AdWords too. This is the only form of advertising both online and offline we use. I would say AdWords costs £50k+ a year, but SEO and AdWords combined generate £700k of business.
It basically began in re-designing the site with all SEO methods in mind, but it took many months before the work started to pay off. We have also taken advantage of some of the competition's incompetence to be honest. Research is the key really, from knowing your competitors and knowing what the market is searching for.
When it comes to conversion rate, a typical day means £120 is spent on AdWords, we get about 10 proper enquiries with an average of 1 in 4 going with us for a service costing around £2k.

Three websites constant at pos 2 on google. All traffic is free, never spent a cent on traffic, but for some backlinks. And I don't care about Alexa rank, cause it has no value. All sites 6 months old. The key of success is, great unique contant, which makes other people link to you without request and of course using all arts of SEO.

My main website has a PR of 5 and Alexa traffic rank is around 90.000. Over 95% of our traffic is free and we get over 10.000 visitors a day. The site is on Google's first page on many of our keywords. The website is quite old, it started with another domain in the late 90's.
We got the website this successful with hard work. One's website must have something that interests people, that's the only way to build and run a good website.

My site is only a few months old. We have a PR of 2, but PR3 for the forums. Alexa rank is about 307,000.
I am working on SEO at the moment, so am hoping that the ranking will go up in time. Have also been working on backlinks. I didn't realise how long these things take until I started. 3 pages (sort of) optimised - about 70 to go!

What do you mean? Back links are links? What other sort of links are you referring to??
I don't really use data like this as a great estimate of how well my sites are doing. I pay more attention to participation, linkbacks, any feedback from visitors etc. For example, I've got quite a few comments and trackbacks lately to my Fixing my Wordpress Title Tags article. For this forum, I do look at how many member logins and posts we get every day, but also consider the quality of those posts and how many people are helping rather than asking for help etc.
