Hi all, new here and had a question for everyone.
I have a new site that im looking to get sponsors for, my question is should I e-mail web site owners asking them to look at my site and see if they would like to sponsor it or would this be spam? Any help would be great thanks. Kevin C.

IMO it depends how your phrase the email. If it looks like a canned sales letter it will be considered spam. If it looks personal then it won't be. Whether it will work or not is another issue.

I do not think this is a good idea. It makes you look desperate and almost begging potential advertisers. If you have everything setup correctly and your site is worthy, advertisers will come. Just be patient and keep tweaking away at improvements.

Marc - No law says you have to be passive. Taking a "wait and see" approach may work, or you may go bankrupt waiting.
I'm constantly amazed at the difference between online and off-line business operations and promotions.
In the off-line world, sending out post cards and sales letters or even cold calling, while not always appreciated by the guy on the other end, is common, acceptable and clearly does work.
But online, if you as a vednor initiate contact with someone for a business relationship that's a sin.
I don't get it.

The best way to get sponsors is to find good affiliate program(s) that fit to your site. You can make good money with them, just be careful with your choice.
