I found that social bookmarks are a good way to get visits. I like delicio.us.
I found a similar system in an extension for firefox. It is Stumbleupon.
You get a kind of blog where your favorite sites are posted, as many people visit your blog and like your site, you will get more traffic.
This really works if your site is nice.

Indeed, i've had on one of my websites A LOT of traffic from Stumbleupon. No success with del.icio.us yet Sad

but in truth, there really isn't such a thing as 'free traffic', the cost is somewhere there always...
