I've tried Traffic Swarm, but I'm not pleased with it. The fact you have more credits, doesn't necesary mean you get traffic, they "charge" credits for displaying the links on a pege with 8 links, not for real visitors. So I'm ready to let them go Smiling

I'm quite pleased with Trafficg.com For every site you see you've got a visitor. I've checked my stats and it works. They''re OK. Guess I'll stick with them Smiling

Do the visitors look at your site or just the first page and then go away ?
It's ok getting traffic this way, but if they are just clicking, looking at the front page and then clicking away. It would be a bit pointless.

This is true, but you need to show up in the SERP's. If your not on page 1 to 3 for your target keyword(s), then the SE's will not send you any traffic.

Definitely work on getting links from other sites, and do this on a continuing basis. Pretty much anything that provides "instant" traffic is probably bogus overall, or costs lots of money. Get links and build content, and come back in 6 months. I know you will have a god report for us. Smiling

SearchBliss -Sorry if my post was not helpful enough, but freemaster did not provide any details for us to consider. He asked for very general suggestions.

Freemaster – With out any details it’s hard to give advice about building traffic. Searchbliss is correct about placing well in the search engines to receive any visitors from them. My personal method of seo is to work on content. You can attract more natural inbound links from authority sites if you have quality content. Also webmasters who link to you as a service to there visitors will send you more traffic than a link exchange partner who berries your link within a “directory”

To boost your inbound links you could try the 15 advanced link building methods here.

I have nothing to do with that site, other than I have that page bookmarked.

Good advice Ron. I'm trying something different for traffic (for SearchBliss that is). One is our first contest for cash and web tools here:
http://www.searchbliss.com/searchbliss-photo-contest.htm
I'm hoping this works, but it's a bit of a risk financially.

The other is I've created and submitting an RSS feed for our SEO Tools and Articles.
http://www.searchbliss.com/seo-tools/seo.xml
I have also added it to MyYahoo!
http://e.my.yahoo.com/config/cstore?.opt=content&.page=&.url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Esearchbliss%2Ecom%2Fseo%2Dtools%2Fseo%2Exml
Sites are beginning to use it, but It's still early yet to see where this leads.

Use a java script that locks-up peoples browser, then presents your web site in a slide show fashion. Please be sure you don't leave your e-mail add. Or any other way to locate you, you might get shot if you do.

Apart from getting a good ranking in the search engines there are 2 other ways I generate free traffic.

1) Sign up with about 20 free search engines, you know get $20 free when you sign up. As long as you go for really general keywords you'll get some traffic though it won't be highly targeted.

2) network with other webmasters. Find other websites similar to yours and ask to swap links, ask them to reccommend your website on an appropriate page and write a paragraph or two telling peopel to visit.

You can always find free safelists to submit to and a good way to get traffic is just sign up for free promo offers and use em to death for the trial period.

Also, my friends have reported sucess with this so im trying it, this is a free service that in about an hour of time if u have any expierence online can get u a list of tens of thousands of emails, some of which will actually click on ur links.

I'm not to sure about this one. Sounds like a nice way to receive more spam, and if your site is in this spam and/or list to others, why would they bother opening them, let alone clicking on your link? Would you?

Sadly enough reports show a small percentage do click, that is why the bulk spam lists and mailers are so popular, and spam is rampant.

If we ever get a grip with email spam, wonder if we can stop all those pounds of ads that get stuffed into my mailbox that are unsolicited.....

I think I've mentioned this elsewhere, but a giveaway that's cross-promoted on giveaway forums/sites has drawn in good traffic for me.

The specific site I post to is http://www.online-sweepstakes.com/
