I am currently writing a story for a well-known publication, Marketing Profs.
I tend to write case study stories with lots of hard statistics and facts.
The story I am gathering data on about now is about email marketing. I am looking for people who market their own products or services (not affiliate programs or etailers selling other people's products) via email marketing and have had great success in the last 12 months. The email marketing could be with your own in-house campaigns or buying sponsorships/lists in other people's email lists.

Most of the successes for my sites are when the email list has been accumulated over a long period of time, and people opted in. There are a couple of customers that always see their traffic double (and orders too) when I send out their monthly newsletter.

For me I use both HTML and text with my autoresponder. The success I have is the fact that I have a very low unsubscribe rate and that allows me to send occassional offers to my list and I get a good response from that.
I do buy Solo Ads frequently and have a good ROI with them, as well as semi solo ads and top placement ads.
