Hi,
I just figured I'd post these links to help you guys out! If you have a forum community, you'd know how to difficult it is to attract members and how hard it is to obtain posts!
Without any active members, or interesting posts/threads, your website visitors and users will be MOST LIKELY NOT to register and post in your forum community!
Use these links to exchange posts with fellow members - help each other out.
- Exchanger Forum
- The Post Swap
If any of you would be so kind enough to put the username VG_KING in the referral box, that would be appreciated.
I don't earn any posts or anything from it...I'm just trying to personally help out the administrators.
Thanks. :coolblock
I'll quack like a penguin, and sting like a flee.

You might mention they do not accept free forums, that share a common server. Only hosted boards with their own URL are accepted. Before someone else wastes their time on this.

I think those things will not work. Building a community take times. The best thing you should build Friendship on the forum or/and a resource of Post and get. Then after the forum runs You will have then to build Trust with your members. A good example of one of our successfull forum: outwartips.net/forum/ (btw dont get in and advertise your forum is not allowed).

I've found the Admin Zone Forums to be very helpful in generating ideas for improving a community.

All these places don't care about your forum. Proof of that is their attitude, they just want your link so they can spam your members. The one mentioned above "Forum Search", does not accept you with less than 50 members. Crap if I had 50 members, I would go and get drunk!!. I would even consider it for FIVE. There is another forum directory on the net, I can't remember it's name right now, but you can't get in with less that 250,000 posts ( why would you need help ).
If I started a forum to do nothing but promote small needy forums, I wouldn`t get any members on that either; I bet!!.
It all comes down to the old have and have not attitude, "I have all the members I can use, and more than I can control really. And I am going to work D--n hard to see you have not any". Or to see maybe? if I can get all yours, but I certainly wont think about helping

Hi, i own Forum Search, it is a forum search engine where you can add any forum with any amount of members.
I presume you were talking about forumpromotion.co.uk,
The reson why I have a rule that you must have 50 members is because there are a hell of a lot of forums that are only around for a week or so, because people think they are easy and i dont want to be adding them and then having to take them off. 50 members is nothing.
Do you own a forum, why not add it to Forum Search?

It depends on whose looking at it. 50 members could be a lot to someone who has had a board up for a year, and only has 1 or 2 members. I have just such a board, I keep it just for spite, I don't ever expect it to do anything.
